Hi there fellow Poser World members!
As you can see we have upgraded the membership site and integrated it into the main Poser World website. We have toiled many long hours to make the new site as user friendly as possible.
We think you will enjoy the changes we have made to the subscription site.
A couple of things to remember:
(1) The login in system now uses your email address and the password from the old subscription site. We are no longer using the 'user name' as the login user. If you cannot remember your subscriber password please use the ' forgot password" form. If you do not receive a password rest email within 30 minutes please use the contact form so we can take care of you manually. Please note that the system will lock you out for a short period of time if you enter your password incorrectly to many times, please wait for the amount of time in the failed login message and try again, alternatively you can reset your password with the 'forgot password' form if you are not sure what your password is.
(2) All downloads are under ' Downloads' the first page of the Downloads page replaces the "What's New" page and the main Downloads page will display the most recently posted content, as we add content you will understand. Each new item form today on will include the date posted (MM/DD/YYYY - month - day - year format). Each category will display the newest content on the first page under each category. Non-members can browse and view the content but cannot download with having an active membership.
(3) Your user account info is at the top right of each page (when logged in). Don't worry only you can see this. However if you want to use a nickname when posting on the forum you can set that up (among other things) in the forum control panel.
(4) Poser World Forums. We have updated the forums to be more user friendly, note that you can change to using a nickname when posting in the forum via the forum control panel. "Display - Name" (in control panel). There is also a private Subscribers (view and post) topic that can only be viewed by logged in subscribers (very bottom of forum). Only use this for posts that you do not want viewed publicly. Try to keep your posts in the public viewable topics (Not marked private). Poser World visitors can read the forum posts in the public forums, however only subscribers can post. One of the reasons for this was to prevent spammers from abusing the forums.
(5) Menu items. When you login to the site as a subscriber you will see pages not available to the general public. There is a subscriber help page, a renewal page (with discounts), and several others.
(6) Poser Item Requests, there is a forum topic dedicated to making requests for items to be created, be sure to make sue of that.
(7) Missing items and broken links. Please post any missing items or broken links in the forum, there is a topic specifically for this. We have a bit of editing to finish and add a couple of items that didn't make it during the import. Please be patient we will have it all up and cleaned up very soon.
We do not have a problem with you as a member downloading whatever you want, however with that comes the request of courtesy for fellow members by not using automated, or multiple file download software. We have many members who would like to download at the same time that you are.
